BCBS offers support, advice and information to children, young people and adults after somebody passes away.

Bridgend Community Bereavement Support (BCBS) is a registered charity that has been operating since 2017.
Our objectives is to ensure that every bereaved adult, young person and children within the Bridgend County and surrounding areas can access consistent and high quality Bereavement services. We value the support that we can offer, as one of our main aims is to help aid the wellbeing and potential mental health problems that may occur when going through the grieving process.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak it is in our best interest to put the safety of our volunteers and members first. Therefore all of our support groups and events have been postponed until further notice. We will keep providing updates via our Facebook page and Website on a regular basis. If you require further information regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) – click here.

Be safe and follow the Governments advice so that we beat this virus! Best wishes from all the BCBS team, hopefully we will see you all very soon. xx

BCBS Helps to Rebuild Lives After The Loss of A Loved One

BCBS provides a safe and open environment, so that everyone has the opportunity to able to express their feelings and talk about the loved one that has passed away without any pressure.
Weekly group sessions are free to attend, various therapies for adults are available each week which may have a slight charge as these are from outside of the chairty.

Upcoming Sessions & Events

Some kind words from our group members…

My boys attended their first session last night and even though one being a teenager was quite dubious about going. They came out all smiles and ready for the next one. I can not thank you all enough! It is amazing to have something available to help that doesn't have a waiting list and is run/supported by people who genuinely care. Thank you again and I will see you all again at the next one xx

My son suddenly passed away in December 2017 from natural causes. I started attended the group in late 2018 after finding the information in my doctor surgery. Since attending the group, my life has changed for the better as I have made new friends and don't feel alone any more.

-Julia Jones

The BCBS team has helped me address grief after I lost a close relative. There is never any pressure put on people to talk about their experiences and everyone is so understanding and comforting.

My son has been attending the young persons group for roughly 4 months, within that time he has progressed so much and it is lovely to see him smile and hear his laugh again. He has benefited so much since attending the group and is gaining more and more confidence each week.
